Longing doesn’t always point toward what can hold us.

Sometimes it points toward what activates us.

This is where things get confusing. Where heat starts to feel like truth, where intensity begins to masquerade as depth, where the nervous system mistakes stimulation for safety.

In this next instalment of Chasing Reflections, I want to slow the moment down just enough to look at what we’re actually responding to when something feels irresistible.

Not who.

Not the story.

But the pull itself.

What follows explores two intertwined experiences:

The mythic, how hunger learns to chase light and the visceral, what it feels like in the body when attention becomes medicine.

If you’ve ever felt drawn toward something that couldn’t stay…

If you’ve ever called intensity “chemistry” because it felt alive…

This is where we begin to see the pattern more clearly.
